Heyakah is a Qatari recycling foundation concerned with Community-based and environmental waste management programs, established in 2021. We aspire to be the master vision and roadmap towards Qatar to becoming an advanced society capable of sustainable development that providing a high standard to achieve the goal of Qatar's vision of sustainability by 2030.
We collect gently used clothes and personal use items, then sort, improve appearance, and then redistribute them inside or outside Qatar, which creates a positive impact on society and contributes to the protection of natural resources. As for the worn clothes and fabrics, they are sent to the factory for recycling and use in various industrial arenas.
Your contribution with us makes your surplus inventory to charity consciously, as they will go to the right place, the good for reuse, while bother towards recycling. None of your stuff is going to end up in the trash.

A sufficient number of waste collection containers made of recycled plastics will be distributed in a reasonable manner in all geographical points inside the country. The idea of “Heyakah” for recycling stems from Al-Mal Holding’s vision. It has taken excellence and sustainable development as its approach in developing long-term value and taking into account the environmental, social and economic climate issues how it operates, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 based on sustainability at all levels.
In terms of climate, the implementation of this concept in Heyakah is via reducing waste and contributing to environmental protection, in addition to improving the use of natural resources. But in terms of community is that we are bringing hope to communities outside and inside Qatar and making an impact in individual's lives.
Heyakah considers reusing clothing and personal use items, after making improvements if necessary, as the most environmentally friendly option.
But when a product reaches the end of its product life cycle, we look to make the most of any parts of it that we can recycle into something of value. Heyakah is looking forward to raising awareness of the importance of this process in the Qatari society and to facilitating customer relationship mechanism with the foundation.
Our GCC region lacks such institutions that carry out the work of collecting, improving, cleaning and distributing reused clothes. It’s limited to some charitable organizations that collect and donate without making any sorting or improvements such as repair and development in general, due to the manpower and high cost that this activity requires. Their function is limited to collecting and donating directly, and this leads to not putting every piece in the right track.
Hence, Heyakah is looking forward to be highly involved and effective in the fashion industry chain that starts from cotton cultivation and textile making. Since this chain must end in reuse and recycling and not in waste containers, every member of society must adopt this goal and strive for it, just as it is the case in recycling other materials such as plastics, oils, metals, etc...
